Early 2018 won’t lack heavy hitters. Before the end of spring, Ubisoft will release Far Cry 5, and 2K Games will ship Red Dead Redemption 2. While both games have evoked palpable excitement, Red Dead Redemption 2, a long-awaited sequel from Rockstar Games, has no doubt created a larger stir. Red Dead Redemption 2 has been delayed; however, as always, 2K Games releases games when they are fit to sell.

After teasing the gaming world with three tweets, Rockstar Games has released the premier trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2.
The beginning of the trailer focuses on showing off some amazing vistas and landscapes, evoking feelings of the wild west. The middle portion gives players the first look at a town, along with a train flanked by countless buffalo running wild beside it. At the end of the trailer, we get a glimpse of a seven-man crew on horseback and the only dialogue in the whole video. Before seeing the crew ride off into the unknown, we hear someone say, “Listen to me. When the times comes, you gotta run and don’t look back. This is over.”
Red Dead Redemption 2 will launch in the Fall of 2017 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Check out the premier trailer below:
Rockstar Games has announced that the highly anticipated Red Dead Redemption 2 will release worldwide in Fall 2017 for PlayStation4 and Xbox One.
Developed by the creators of Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland. The game’s vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience.
“With Red Dead Redemption 2, the team is working hard to push forward our vision for interactive entertainment in a truly living world,” said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. “We hope to deliver players an epic experience that builds upon everything we’ve learned making games.”
Over the last two days, Rockstar has released teasers for the upcoming announcement. It started when the company tweeted out an image of their logo with a red background. This was followed by a second tweet which showed seven silhouetted figures with another red background. The outfits of the people, along with the background, further ramped up the belief that an announcement was imminent.
Rockstar also confirmed the first Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer will release at 11:00 a.m. Eastern, Thursday, October 20th at www.rockstargames.com .
