Cheers, Sony Computer Entertainment!  Your sweet, sweet baby, the PlayStation 4, which brings joy to ladies and gents far and wide, has turned five years old.  With Sony celebrating the fifth anniversary of the release of the PS4, Alex and Yield, surviving to tell tales of Black Friday 2018, look back on some of their favorite games and features from the early life of Sony’s flagship video game console.

We are happy and proud to share that Proven Gamer has partnered with the Humble Bundle! The Humble Bundle is a fantastic initiative and program that allows games to score a litany of games on the cheap — all while making charitable donations to various groups and organizations. Trophy Whores 331 – Gods of War Rocket Up the Download Charts

Alex and Roberto help ring in the new year by looking back at 2017 and forward to 2018.  Like two killer whales at Sea World, they’re itching to frolic in the deep blue ocean of video games that promise an exciting 2018.

Better yet, we’re getting at least one more God of War game before the series pays homage to “The Fonz” and goes airborne over a particularly dangerous aquatic predator.  It’s a shark.  Sony Santa Monica is dangerously close to jumping the shark, and Alex proposes that maybe Kratos should ride off into the sunset after his latest adventure.

Join the Trophy Whores as they discuss, among other things, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, Batman: The Telltale Series, Inside, Rocket League and God of War.

In a bit of big news, iHeartRadio streams episodes of Trophy Whores, which greatly expands the show’s footprint and reach. Trophy Whores 314 – Franchises Can’t Live Forever

Based on that title, you might think that we’re going to take aim at some beloved video game franchises.  And you are right.  Surprisingly, Sonic the Hedgehog is not among them.  Let’s be honest, whenever this subject comes up, Sonic is almost a shoe-in for mention.  Instead, Tricky and Yield set their sights higher.

And Alex?  Well, his answer is (insanely) surprising.  We hope you’re sitting down for this lively discussion.

Join the Trophy Whores as they discuss, among other things, Dishonored, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, Horizon Zero Dawn and Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice.
