Trophy Whores 370 – No Moss

Insomniac Games earned a lot of recognition at the Game Awards, as Marvel’s Spider-Man earned many nominations for various awards.  Unfortunately for Insomniac, the house that Ratchet and Clank helped build, Marvel’s Spider-Man has earned much praise, but the game didn’t win an award during the Game Awards.  To be honest, while Insomniac appreciates recognition from their peers and fans, they’re probably elated to have the fastest-selling PlayStation exclusive on any video game console.  That’s quite the honor.

Join Alex and Yield, as they discuss, among other things, the Game Awards — including the game announcements that rocked the show!

We are happy and proud to share that Proven Gamer has partnered with the Humble Bundle! The Humble Bundle is a fantastic initiative and program that allows games to score a litany of games on the cheap — all while making charitable donations to various groups and organizations. PG’s Thoughts:

I am a little more than 60 hours into Monster Hunter World and still haven’t seen all the monsters the game has to offer. As a newcomer to the series, the addition of Deviljho just gives me a new reason to keep playing.

Trophy Whores 323 – Dont Buy Metal Gear Survive

This week the Trophy Whores disseminate more information surrounding the demise of Dead Space creator, Visceral Games.  Remember when gamers lauded Electronic Arts for publishing Dead Space and Mirror’s Edge?  Yeah, that was a long time ago.  I think we’re back to grumbling about EA’s wicked ways.  Can you believe the nerve of whoever suggesting putting co-op gameplay in Dead Space 3?

Konami have revealed the release date for Metal Gear Survive, which, on Tricky’s scale of a car running over your foot to Stay Puft relocating your Manhattan digs, is a plastic pitchfork up the rear.  He’s not excited — or sure that Survive should be considered a Metal Gear game.  We all have opinions, but Tricky takes a firm stance whenever Hideo Kojima’s stealth-based mega-hit brainchild is on the tip of anyone’s tongue.

Join the Trophy Whores as they discuss, among other things, Metal Gear Survive, Grand Theft Auto V, Spider-Man, Guacamelee! 2, Ghost of Tsushima and The Last of Us 2.

In a bit of big news, iHeartRadio streams episodes of Trophy Whores, which greatly expands the show’s footprint and reach.
