Trophy Whores 320 – Phantom Assassins of October

It’s finally October, which means that you’re about to binge on horror movies, beautiful foliage and PlayStation Plus freebies.  If you’re a real Looney Tune, then you’re downing large cups of pumpkin-spice, candy corn milkshakes. I may have invented — just now — the most disgusting drink served hot or cold — aside from gin.  Have you had gin?  It’s absolutely disgusting.  I’d rather drink some Frankenstein combo of pickle juice and peanut oil.

Even if you aren’t a fan of horror movies, you can still enjoy the festivities of fall.  Extra Life is one month away, and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is available to download as part of October’s PlayStation Plus free offerings.  To boot, Ubisoft is letting loose Assassin’s Creed: Origins on October 27, so you can soon take an inexpensive trip to ancient Egypt.

Join the Trophy Whores as they discuss, among other things, Infamous Second Son, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Rocksteady Studios.

In a bit of big news, iHeartRadio streams episodes of Trophy Whores, which greatly expands the show’s footprint and reach. It’s a tremendous honor for the show to be part of iHeartRadio’s massive and respected community, and Proven Gamer have only the fans to thank for pushing the podcast to this point.  The Trophy Whores work hard to put out a quality weekly show, but they owe so much love to their listeners, who keep the show strong and growing.

RockSteady Teases New Developments, coming ” soon”

Like the Dark Knight vanishing into the shadows of Gotham City, Rocksteady Games have been relatively quiet since the 2015 release of Batman: Arkham Knight and last year’s release of Batman: Arkham VR. BatmanL Arkhamn Knight was seen as a satisfying conclusion to the Arkham sries of games, a franchise that unarguably changed the way action and comic book hero video games are amde forever. For Arkham VR. It was seen as a fun, but extremely short tech demo that demonstrated the capabilities of VR.

Today, Gaz Deaves, Marketing Manager at Rocksteady Games, tweeted something that will certainly whet the appetites of those waiting for Rocksteady’s next big move.

What this could possibly mean is anyone’s guess. Fans have been clamoring for Rocksteady to take the leay= on more superhero video games, especially those that are licensed by DC Comics. For several years, there have been rumors of a BAtman Beyond Game that could possibly be made, along with the possibility of bringing Superman into the video game arena, as the Man Of Steel has had quite an appalling history in the world fo video games.

For now, we will have to wait and see. AS the caped crusader once said, ” Expect the Unexpected.”

Trophy Whores 276 – Frosty Reception

This week we talk about the Caped Crusader, Batman, and sporty rocket cars — neither of which tastes nearly as good as soup or mozzarella sticks.

News is scarce, but we shore up the agenda with two — TWO — thought-provoking questions of the week.  What’s more, Frosty, a man with a beard as tremendous as his podcasting skills, joins the show to complete a fearsome foursome.  As always, we’ve got all of the bad segues and slow transitions that you ever need.

Join the Trophy Whores as they discuss, among other things, Batman VR, Rocksteady Studios and Rocket League.  Psyonix’s Rocket League is a game that we can always come back to.  Psyonix has done a tremendous supporting the community with  engaging downloadable content far after the game’s release.  It’s hard to believe that Rocket League has surpassed one year on the market.  While others are focused on the newest Rocket League DLC, Tricky is looking forward and asking if Psyonix needs to start on a sequel.
