Middle-Earth: Shadow of War gameplay was shown running on Xbox One X. The gameplay showed Talon in an arena, fighting a huge orc leader. After delivering several blows, Talon was able to take control of the orc and bring him into his army. The orc revealed that a fortress controlled by a two-headed troll was nearby, and Talon commanded the new orc follower to collect his army and help attack the fortress.
The revenge feature of the Nemesis System was also featured, as an orc leader, known as The Machine, attempted to exact revenge; however, Talon was able to control him and recruit him to the army, too. Talon was able to use his two new recruits and their armies to attack the fortress.
Middle-Earth: Shadow of War will launch on October 10.
