Relic Entertainment has announced Company of Heroes 3: Operation Torch, a narrative-driven campaign expansion that will arrive on PC on November 25, 2026. It is the first single-player mission content for Company of Heroes 3 since the game launched, and it takes the series back to a theatre of the Second World War that shaped the American army’s early fighting experience.

The expansion draws its fifteen missions from the Allied campaign in North Africa. Players command an American force as it enters its first major campaign against German troops, following an arc that moves from the Allied landings through the sobering defeat at Kasserine and on to the final assault on Hill 609. That structure gives the campaign a clear sense of momentum: early confidence, a hard lesson, and a costly push toward a decisive objective.

Rather than telling the story from a single viewpoint, Operation Torch frames its events through the perspectives of three American soldiers. That approach should keep the campaign grounded in individual experience even when the battles themselves grow large, and it gives Relic room to show how the same campaign felt very different depending on where a soldier stood within it.

Progression is built around how you play. Completing missions and optional objectives earns upgrades, and the choices made along the way shape how an army develops over the course of the campaign. The idea is that two players can reach the later missions with meaningfully different forces, depending on which strengths they chose to invest in and which risks they were willing to take for extra rewards.

Mission variety is a central part of the pitch. The campaign mixes beachfront landings with stealth operations, defensive actions and large-scale assaults, so success will demand more than one style of play. A careful, patient approach may suit one mission, while another will reward bold movement and heavy firepower, and learning to read each battlefield will matter as much as raw unit strength.

Operation Torch arrives in the twentieth anniversary year of the Company of Heroes franchise, following the recent 3.0 Anniversary Update and alongside the upcoming Company of Heroes: Definitive Edition. Taken together, those releases suggest a series in a reflective but busy period, looking back at its history while still adding new places to fight. For strategy fans keeping an eye on the wider calendar, award-season voting is also live for the Golden Joystick Ultimate Game of the Year, and you can follow more PC news on Proven Gamer as the November 25 launch approaches.
