A brand-new 2D Castlevania isn’t the only Thursday launch. Toy Story 3 Complete Edition drops Oct 15 with a FULL PS5 platinum — for just $24.99 digital.
Digital Eclipse’s remaster keeps the full PS3 trophy list and adds 3 brand-new trophies, for 42 total (24 bronze, 14 silver, 3 gold, 1 platinum). Two of the new ones are Zurg-related — Zurg was playable ONLY on PS3 back in 2010, and now he’s playable everywhere. The third is collecting every Toy Store customization pack.
The physical option is a $39.99 double pack (both games) on PS5, Switch, and Switch 2 — but no Xbox disc. That double pack includes Toy Story: Retro Roundup!, an 11-game collection: Toy Story (1995), Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue!, Toy Story 2 (GBC), Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, Toy Story Racer, plus A Bug’s Life as a bonus — with rewind, save states, cheat codes, and archival interviews.
Context matters: Disney delisted the originals (Toy Story 2, 3, Buzz Lightyear) from the PS Store on Sept 29, so this remaster is now the only way to buy. PS Plus Premium lost the PS1 classics too.
Debate: 11 retro games + a 2010 remaster for $25–40 while publishers charge $30+ for DLC — is this the best value release of 2026? Or does the missing Xbox physical plus the Sept 29 delistings smell like the Disney vault tactic?
