You can’t kill the Boogeyman, and apparently you can’t keep him off the content calendar either. IllFonic and Gun Interactive have released the first post-launch content drop for Halloween: The Game on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC — and it lands today, October 27, just a few days before Halloween itself. It’s the first of a planned year of updates for the 1v4 asymmetrical horror game that launched in September.
The best part costs nothing. The Tower Farm, a brand-new map inspired by Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers, is free for everyone who owns the game. It trades Haddonfield’s suburban streets for open farm country just outside town: worn country roads, cornfields, farmhouses, barns, sheds, a harvest festival, a trailer park, and pumpkin-filled gardens, all anchored by a lit filling station under a setting sun. The open layout makes navigation easier — but it also leaves Civilians exposed, with roadside ditches as some of the only hiding spots when it’s time to make a run for it.

The paid side of the drop is all about the mask. Two new Michael Myers skins are available at $9.99 each: the Michael from Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers, and the Michael from Halloween (2018). The 2018 version is a nice get for film fans — its mask design was supervised by Christopher Nelson, the Academy Award-winning sculptor who created Michael’s mask for the recent trilogy of Halloween (2018), Halloween Kills, and Halloween Ends. IllFonic licensed both looks through new partnerships with Trancas International Films and Miramax.

Two more $9.99 packs round out the drop. The Civilian Characters Pack adds two new survivors, Michelle and Eugene, and the Civilian Costumes Pack 1 adds 14 Halloween costumes — one per character — with 42 tints to mix and match. The update also ships with free features, fixes, and quality-of-life improvements for all players, whether or not you buy any of the DLC.
It’s a strong week for horror fans on console — if you’re stocking up for Halloween, HorrorVale: Deadluxe Edition hits every console on Halloween, and for a completely different flavor of dread, No, I’m Not a Human is bringing its paranoia horror to PS5, Xbox, and Switch in 2027.
