Alice Is Trapped in a Killing Game — CRYMELIGHT’s Twisted Wonderland Is OUT NOW on PS5 and Switch 2

FuRyu has opened the doors to a Wonderland you will not recognize. CRYMELIGHT, the roguelike action adventure inspired by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, is out now on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 for $19.99, with a PC version on Steam set to follow. It is the newest entry in FuRyu’s CRY series, and it turns a children’s classic into a deadly game of love, lies, and survival.

CRYMELIGHT launched on November 4, 2026, and it wastes no time making its intentions clear. This is not the Wonderland of tea parties and white rabbits. This is a world where the only way out is to play a killing game — and to win it.

What Is CRYMELIGHT?

CRYMELIGHT puts players in the shoes of Alice, a girl who wanders into Wonderland and finds herself trapped in a game she never agreed to play. A mysterious voice tells her the rules: Alice is the only person who can win the “Killing Game,” and if she kills the other girls, they will come back to life. Her goal is to become the “Queen of Hearts” by killing seven other girls. But there is a catch, and it is a big one: the same voice also lies.

That contradiction is the heart of the game. The girls Alice must face are not faceless enemies. FuRyu describes them as sweet, twisted girls, each with her own sins and regrets to confront, and the story is about how Alice and the other girls face those sins and grow as people. The game’s producer, TAKUMI, puts it this way: CRYMELIGHT is a story about Alice and the other girls confronting sins and regrets while growing as people, and he hopes players will enjoy the world and its characters as much as the action.

The action itself is a roguelike. Players explore a chaotic, ever-changing Wonderland, fighting real-time battles against the creatures and girls who stand in their way. Every run is different, and death is not the end — it is a chance to grow stronger. Along the way, players collect Crymentals, powerful skills that change how Alice fights, and dress accessories that alter her abilities and her look. The combination of skills, accessories, and an unpredictable world is meant to keep every descent into Wonderland feeling fresh.

The Newest Entry in the CRY Series

CRYMELIGHT is the latest game in FuRyu’s CRY series, a line of bishoujo action games built around emotional stories and stylish combat. The series began with CRYSTAR, the story of a girl who defies fate itself to save her younger sister, and it earned a devoted following for the way it mixed heartfelt storytelling with fast, satisfying action.

For players who have never tried the series, now is a good time to start. CRYSTAR is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch at up to 95% off, and a special short story is available now, offering a way into the series’ world before diving into CRYMELIGHT. The two games share the series’ DNA — a young heroine, a world that runs on emotion, and a story that is darker than it first appears — but CRYMELIGHT is a standalone adventure, so newcomers can jump straight in.

What Is in the Launch Version, and What Is Coming Next

The launch version of CRYMELIGHT is available now on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. The standard edition costs $19.99, while the Digital Deluxe edition is $39.99 and includes the full game, three days of early access, a digital artbook, a digital soundtrack, and two accessories — the “Scissors” and the “Magical Chainsaw.” Those two accessories are also available as free downloadable content, so even standard edition players can get their hands on them at no extra cost.

FuRyu is also looking ahead. A PC version of CRYMELIGHT is coming to Steam, and special collaboration content is planned to arrive alongside it. The launch announcement confirms collaboration bundles with three other titles — Garden of Witches, Magical Princess, and Eternal Palace Sakura — and more details on those crossovers will follow. For now, the focus is on the console launch, but PC players will not have to wait long for their turn.

To mark the launch, YOGISYA, the game’s character designer, has drawn a special commemorative illustration of Alice alongside Cheshire and Mad Hatter, celebrating the release of the game. It is a fitting tribute to a game that wears its Wonderland inspiration proudly, even as it twists it into something much darker.

Why CRYMELIGHT Is Worth a Look

There are a lot of roguelikes on the market, but CRYMELIGHT stands out because of how confidently it commits to its premise. A killing game in Wonderland, with a heroine who must murder seven girls to become the Queen of Hearts — and a voice that lies about the rules — is a setup that demands attention. The CRY series has always been at its best when it pairs a strong emotional hook with stylish action, and CRYMELIGHT looks like the most ambitious version of that formula yet.

The price helps, too. At $19.99, CRYMELIGHT is cheaper than most new releases this season, and the Digital Deluxe edition, at $39.99, packs in an artbook and soundtrack for fans who want the full package. For players who like anime action games, it is an easy recommendation — and if you want more in the same vein, check out our coverage of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2 on Switch 2 and Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE, which is already breaking records on console. Wonderland has never been this dangerous. If you are ready to play the Killing Game, CRYMELIGHT is waiting — just remember that the voice telling you the rules might be lying.
