I recently got a hold of the Smash 3DS demo from my friend who has platinum membership on club Nintendo. All I have to say about it is that it feels weird with the circle pad, other than that it is a perfectly good game. The demo consists of 5 characters, 3 veterans, 2 newbies and one stage. The playable characters are Mario, Link, Pikachu, Villager and Megaman. The veterans play almost identical to their brawl counterparts except that everything is a lot smoother. The Villager is my least favorite of the bunch mainly because he has a good move set, but it is weird and will take a while to get used to. Megaman, in my opinion, is great. His move set is basically the powers you get from the old games, like the blades you get after beating Metal Man. I have played the demo about 50 times and I have yet to see the Villager’s final smash. I have seen Megaman’s a lot as well as the Veterans’. All in all, they have improved the game play and the item list isn’t too shabby either. With new additions like the cannon from “Kid Icarus uprising”, it is like the dragoon from “Kirby Air Ride” where it is split in 3 pieces but the samage it does is incredible. Also now you can tell when you get a legendary in a pokeball because they changed it so it will be a masterball. The demo even has a group mode where you can play with your friends that also have it. The game itself is an improvement that Smash needed.
