Sonic Forces Will Have Tag Gameplay

Sega has announced that Tag stages will be coming to Sonic Forces. In these stages, Sonic and the custom character designed by the player will team up and can swap in and out mid-stage. This mechanic allows for players to use different techniques and tactics to clear a level.

Additionally, a new music track was also revealed. The song features Metal Sonic and features a techno style beat.

Sonic Forces launches this Holiday season for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Check out the Tag stage trailer and new music track below:

Sonic Forces Announces Character Creation

Sega has announced a new gameplay style for their upcoming Sonic Forces. Along with Modern and Classic Sonic playstyles, players will now be able to create their own characters.

The creator will give players visual options to make their character look exactly as they wish. There will also be different animal body types that come with their own abilities and tools. Each of the animal types will sport a unique skill.

  • Wolf – Automatically draws in rings when near them
  • Rabbit – Has longer invincible time after receiving damage
  • Cat – Keeps one ring after being hit
  • Dog – Restarts with five rings after the player dies
  • Bear – Blows away enemies with a homing attack
  • Bird – Flies high with double jump abilities
  • Hedgehog – Collects rings when getting damaged

Sonic Forces will launch for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC this holiday season. Check out the trailer for the character creator below:

Sonic Forces Coming Holiday 2017

Sonic Team has announced that the title “Project Sonic 2017” is officially being called Sonic Forces and will launch holiday 2017. The game was first announced in July 2016. It will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Check out the gameplay reveal for Sonic Forces below:
