Resident Evil 1 is coming to Current GEN!

That’s right ladies and gentlemen; the current generation is getting its first Resident Evil title, and it’s a good one too! This isn’t the first time RE1 has been remade. There was the GameCube remake, and after that there was also the Wii remake (if that’s what you want to call it) they basically ported the GameCube remake and gave it Wii controls.

Now supposedly the game is getting another HD remake and I’m honestly ok with it. After what I’ve been through with the recent instalments of the series, I could go for some RE1 good old fashion survival horror game play. I personally don’t expect a big jump in graphics (look at the “HD” remake of RE4 for example) but just give me the game, make it look decent and I’m good to go.  What surprises me the most about this is the fact that, as much as I love RE1, most people have clearly stated that they want a remake of RE2, I being one of those people. It’s not that I don’t like RE1; trust me I love that game, it’s that there really hasn’t been a Resident Evil 2 HD remake yet. The GameCube version was more of a port than an actual remake so fans have been basically pleading with them to make one, but no such luck.

Oh well. I am not going to complain! I’m super excited for this remake. The PC and Current Gen remakes are all set to be 1080p, whereas the Ps3 and Xbox 360 versions are going to only support up to 720p. All versions of the title will have 5.1 surround sound support. Other camera and control options will be available as well so you should be able to change it up to your liking. You will also get the option to play the game in its original 4:3 ratio or in the 16:9 widescreen mode. The game is due out sometime early 2015 and will be on Ps4, Xbox One, Ps3, Xbox 360 and PC.
