Nintendo released a statement earlier today on July 12, 2015, that their president since 2002, Satoru Iwata passed away due to a bile duct growth. Satoru joined Nintendo back in the 1980’s, where he worked on titles such as Balloon Fight and Earthbound. Iwata lived through both the highs and lows of the company, and he will be deeply missed not only at Nintendo, but in the gaming community as a whole. I think I speak for all of us here at Proven Gamer that Mr. Iwata will be missed. Rest in peace Satoru.
