Tricky, who has been absent from the show for three weeks, makes his return to Trophy Whores. As much as the Trophy Whores tease Tricky, they have missed him. Trophy Whores isn’t the same without Tricky — or any other host. Lucia, the Ionvein, tags along.
The Trophy Whores, who are short Yield, dive into a swimming pool of chicanery. It’s a scorcher of a summer, and everyone is trying to beat the heat. Tricky and Donny can’t get through 20 minutes without renewing their sibling rivalry, which means that Trophy Whores has again achieved homeostasis.
San Diego Comic-Con is in full swing, and Lucia is our reporter on the ground. Well, he has been to Comic-Con, and we think that counts. We’re pretty sure that he has seen things related to comics, movies and video games. The Justice League trailer appeared debuted at Comic-Con, and, unfortunately, Martian Manhunter was nowhere to be seen. It’s nice to see Cyborg on the screen, but without Martian Manhunter, it doesn’t feel like a true Justice League movie.
Join the Trophy Whores as they discuss, among other things, Minecraft: Story Mode, Injustice 2, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Sonic Mania. It’s 2016, and, depending upon whom you ask, Sonic’s relevance and viability are dubious. If this were 1992, then Sonic would be battling Mario for mascot supremacy. Unfortunately, for Sega and Sonic, the hedgehog’s popularity has dried up like a slug on blacktop in August.
