Nintendo has released the version 4.0.0 system update for the Switch. The update comes with a variety of new features. The two major highlights are video capture and saved data system transfer.
Although video capture is now available, it is only available for select games including The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, ARMS, and Splatoon 2. Additionally, only the last 30 seconds of game footage can be clipped.
The other major feature in the update will allow gamers to transfer user profiles and saved data from one Switch console to a different one. This is not done using any sort of cloud save feature.
The other two features coming with the update are new profile icons from Super Mario Odyssey and Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and pre-purchasing is now available for select games in the eShop.
