Bad news for cozy game fans — but with a silver lining. Usual June, the upcoming adventure from developer Finji, has been delayed, and it now has a new release date.

Usual June will now launch on January 20, 2027 on PC via Steam. The team at Finji says the extra time will be used to make the game the best it can be, giving the developers room to polish the experience rather than rush it out the door.

For those who haven’t been following it, Usual June is a story-driven adventure set in a small town with a mysterious twist, blending everyday life with something stranger lurking beneath the surface. Finji is the publisher behind beloved indie hits like Tunic and Night in the Woods, so expectations for Usual June have been high since its reveal.

A new trailer debuted during the Cozy After Dark showcase, giving fans a fresh look at the game while announcing the new date.

Delays are never fun, but a little extra polish can make all the difference. We’ll be counting down to January 20, 2027.
