Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Is Finally Getting New Game+ on November 5 — and Ubisoft Just Put Every Other Remake on Hold

Ubisoft published its Assassin’s Creed Fall 2026 Update today, October 29, 2026, presented by Head of Content Jean Guesdon. It is the follow-up to the March 2026 update, and the update Proven Gamer previewed on October 26. It delivered exactly what Ubisoft promised: a progress report, no major new game reveal, but with one long-requested feature dated, one big question answered plainly, and status checks on everything else in the pipeline.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Is Finally Getting New Game+ on November 5

Here is the headline news, and it is a big one for Valhalla players. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has passed 40 million players, and its long-requested New Game+ arrives on November 5. Players will be able to replay Eivor’s saga with their favourite gear and much of their progression intact, with dedicated New Game+ scaling to keep the second run feeling like a real challenge rather than a victory lap.

The update also adds an optional progression mode in which Gear, Runes and Masteries all contribute to Eivor’s overall Power, plus new runes, new achievements, a stash system, and new rewards. Among those rewards is a Master Assassin outfit inspired by Naoe’s look in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. There is also Mithril, a new resource used to upgrade Divine Gear and strengthen runes, and Divine Gear quality for all items.

Full patch notes are still to come, and Ubisoft says news on current-generation console updates is coming in the next few days. The team is also asking for feedback on this update, because what players think of it may shape similar updates for other titles. After years of Valhalla players asking for this mode, November 5 is a real date to circle.

Black Flag Resynced’s Final Major Update Is Here

Black Flag Resynced’s final major update adds New Game+, Nightmare Mode, new rewards, finishers, trinkets and more customization, including Blackbeard’s iconic outfit, Edward’s London attire, and new customization for the Jackdaw and its crew.

Major content for Resynced is now done, although smaller quality-of-life updates will continue over the coming months. Ubisoft closes that section with a tease that there is somewhere else to set sail soon. That is all it is for now: a tease, with no further detail attached.

No Other Remake Is in Active Development

Then came the answer a lot of fans have been waiting for, stated plainly. Resynced was the franchise’s first remake and taught the team a lot, but no other Assassin’s Creed remake is currently actively in development. Instead, teams are focused on the next chapter, including unannounced projects with new settings and stories.

That is not a door slammed shut forever. Ubisoft says the team loves revisiting classic titles and will keep exploring the idea, but right now, nothing else is in active development. For a franchise that has lived on remake speculation for years, that clarity is welcome, even if it is not the news some fans wanted to hear.

Codename Invictus: Multiplayer Is Still Evolving

Codename Invictus, the multiplayer project, had its first private Insiders Session a few months ago, with hundreds of players taking part. The return of PvP multiplayer landed well: players praised the parkour and verticality of the maps, the dynamic teamplay, and playing as different Assassin’s Creed characters, each with their own skills and playstyles.

The clear feedback, though, was that players wanted more of the core pillars that define Assassin’s Creed. The team is now evolving Invictus in that direction while keeping its multiplayer ambitions. It is still in development, with more testing to come, so this one remains a work in progress rather than a finished picture.

Codename Hexe: Steady Progress, but Quiet Until 2027

Codename Hexe, the darker Assassin’s Creed experience, is making steady progress but still has work ahead, and its next major update will not come until 2027. For fans hoping for a Hexe blowout this year, that is a firm reset of expectations.

There is one fun detail to watch in the meantime. The Hexe section of Ubisoft’s article contains a coded string of text, beginning “ZKLWAVN MBEXNK ULYCNJ… LWY01…” and continuing from there, which fans are already treating as a puzzle to decode. Ubisoft does not explain it, so for now it stands as an unexplained tease, not a solved mystery.

Netflix Live-Action Series: Filming Nearly Done in Rome

Moving away from games, production on the Netflix live-action Assassin’s Creed series is nearing completion in Rome, Italy. Jean Guesdon visited the set, consulted on scripts and met the showrunners, which suggests a hands-on approach to keeping the series in step with the games.

Composer Hannah Peel, credited by Ubisoft for Insomnia, Rogue Agent and Game of Thrones: The Last Watch, has joined to compose the series’ score. There is still no release date, so the wait for the show itself goes on, even as filming winds down.

The Franchise Turns 20 in 2027

Looking further ahead, Ubisoft is preparing a year of reveals, updates, rewards and community moments for the franchise’s 20th anniversary, kicking off in 2027 and focused on players. Given how much of this update is about looking back and taking stock, that anniversary year already feels like the natural next milestone.

Ubisoft also used the update to talk about how it is listening. The new Leadership Team, led by Martin Schelling and announced earlier in 2026, has spent recent months refining the long-term vision around staying true to what makes Assassin’s Creed unique, innovating, and elevating quality and consistency. The March community survey drew thousands of responses, with players asking for the franchise’s identity to be preserved, a more coherent narrative, and more regular dialogue. Closed-door community workshops are planned this year, and a new Community Survey is now live.

What This Means

So, what does all of this actually mean? No new game, no remake in the works, and Hexe quiet until 2027. That is a thinner headline list than some fans will have wanted from a franchise update. But Valhalla players get a real date to circle, Resynced players get a proper send-off for major content, and Ubisoft is at least saying the quiet parts out loud now, from the remake question to the state of its in-development projects. As Ubisoft itself put it in the update’s closing sentiment: “Nothing is true, everything is permitted.”
