Pokémon Go will soon be adding an enhanced augmented reality(AR) feature on iPhones 6s and newer that are running iOS 11.
AR+ will allow Pokémon to be positioned on the screen better and their size will be more accurate based on what is around them. Players will now be able to see changes in perspective and size as Pokémon move closer or further away.
AR+ will also add new ways to catch Pokémon. By moving closer one before trying to catch it, a capture bonus will be added for the player. However, Pokémon can potentially be aware of this distance and flee if a trainer gets too close.
Pokémon Go is currently available for iOS and Android devices.
