Another week, another fresh batch of games hitting the PlayStation Store. This one’s a banger — the year’s biggest shooter, Square Enix’s first HD-2D Final Fantasy, and a couple of PC darlings finally making their console debut. Here’s everything worth your hard drive space.
The Notables
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 — Out Oct 23 — $69.99 ($99.99 Vault Edition)

Infinity Ward is back at the Modern Warfare helm with a full Korean Peninsula war — campaign (early access started Oct 16 for digital pre-orders), 6v6 multiplayer, and the return of DMZ extraction. Big trophy-hunter footnote: this is the first CoD to skip PS4 entirely, and there is NO PS5 Platinum — the 18 campaign trophies live inside the CoD HQ launcher list from Modern Warfare 2 (2022). Final Fantasy Resonance — Out Oct 22 — $49.99

Square Enix finally gives its flagship the beloved HD-2D treatment — the first Final Fantasy in that gorgeous style. It rebuilds the Brave Exvius story arc into a proper turn-based RPG at a budget $49.99, and a free demo is out now with your save carrying over to the full game. Trophy hunters, good news: a Platinum is confirmed.

Mycopunk — Out now (Oct 20) — $14.99 — day one on PS Plus Extra and Premium

Devolver Digital’s co-op looter shooter blasts out of Early Access and onto PS5 — and lands straight in the PS Plus Game Catalog, so millions of subscribers get it free on day one. Squad up with up to four robot buddies, upgrade weapons on a grid system, and exterminate galactic fungal pests. No confirmed trophy list yet, so platinum-chasers should tread lightly.

BeamNG.drive — Out now (Oct 19) — $24.99
The PC crash-physics phenomenon that fueled a decade of viral crash compilations is finally on a console. The PS5 version launched in Early Access with 12 environments, brand-new 4-player local split-screen, PS5 Pro support, and it’s offline-only — no mods or VR at launch. Trophy hunters get a full list: 55 trophies including a Platinum. Read our launch coverage here: BeamNG.drive

PEAK — Out Oct 22 — $6.99 digital

The 10-million-copy indie phenomenon finally climbs onto consoles. The co-op survival-climber from Aggro Crab and Landfall brings 1–4 player ascents, proximity chat, full cross-play with PC, and a daily-rotating map — all for impulse-buy money. A physical edition lands December 9 at $19.99 with a Buddy Code for a free digital copy. No console trophy list confirmed yet.
We Were Here Tomorrow — Out now (Oct 20) — $19.99 (10% launch discount)

The walkie-talkie co-op series’ biggest reinvention yet: asymmetric abilities, a retro-futuristic 1980s setting, and the most content the series has ever offered — with full cross-play so you can drag a friend in from any platform. And yes, there’s a Platinum (“Humanity’s Finest”). Check out our launch post here: We Were Here Tomorrow
