Stellar Blade Just Landed on Switch 2 — And It Brought NieR, NIKKE and Bayonetta With It

Stellar Blade — EVE faces the core chamber

Stellar Blade has officially arrived on Nintendo Switch 2, and SHIFT UP did not bring the sci-fi action hit to Nintendo’s new console quietly. The Stellar Blade Complete Edition launched today, November 5, 2026, through the Nintendo eShop, marking the game’s debut on a Nintendo platform, and it arrives loaded with crossover content that PlayStation 5 and PC players have been collecting for months.

According to the original SHIFT UP announcement, the Switch 2 edition bundles the base game with its NieR:Automata and GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE downloadable content, plus the brand-new Bayonetta collaboration. For players who have been waiting to see whether one of the most talked-about action games of the last few years would ever reach a Nintendo system, the wait is over, and the package on offer is the fullest version of the game yet.

Stellar Blade’s Switch 2 Debut Packs in Every Crossover

Players step into the role of EVE, an elite warrior sent to reclaim Earth from the mysterious forces that drove humanity from it. The game pairs cinematic storytelling with fast, demanding combat, a twisting plot about the fall of Earth, and deep character progression built around customisable skills, gear and combat builds. Those builds matter, because Stellar Blade is not shy about its boss encounters, and the fights against its biggest enemies are where the combat system shows its teeth.

That core experience is the same one that made the game a hit on PlayStation 5 and PC, but the Complete Edition is really about everything wrapped around it. This is not a bare-bones port landing a year late with a shrug. SHIFT UP has bundled in every major collaboration the game has received, which means Switch 2 players are getting the definitive version on day one rather than waiting through a drip-feed of add-ons.

The Switch 2 release also adds support for Joy-Con 2 motion controls for activities away from combat, a small but telling touch. It shows the port was built with the new hardware in mind rather than simply squeezed onto it, giving players an extra layer of immersion in the quieter moments between fights.

What the Stellar Blade Complete Edition Includes

The NieR:Automata downloadable content brings Emil’s Shop from the acclaimed action role-playing game into the world of Stellar Blade. Players can dress EVE in outfits based on 2B and A2, give Lily a 9S outfit, put Emil headwear on Adam, and unlock a Pod 042 drone skin by collecting Stellar Tears. It is a generous crossover, and for fans of both games, seeing those designs inside Stellar Blade’s world is half the fun.

The GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE content goes even further. The crossover, which pairs Stellar Blade with SHIFT UP’s own hit third-person shooter, lets players take on the warrior Scarlet to earn a new costume, hairstyle and song for EVE. It also adds shooting range mini-games, a new shop and fishing, with collectible NIKKE items to reel in along the way. It is a substantial add-on in its own right, not a token skin pack.

Then there is the Bayonetta collaboration, which is new with this release. It adds four couture outfits inspired by Bayonetta, named Bayonetta, Jeanne, Nun and Black Tresses, giving EVE a set of looks drawn from one of action gaming’s most stylish franchises. The collaboration is also available now as a free update for PC and PlayStation 5 players, so nobody on the original platforms is left out.

Try Stellar Blade Free With the Switch 2 Demo

Anyone unsure whether Stellar Blade is for them does not have to take the plunge blind. A free public demo of the Complete Edition is available now through the Nintendo eShop, covering the opening section of the game and introducing its setting, its combat and EVE herself. It is a smart move for a game whose biggest selling point is how its combat feels in your hands, because no trailer can sell that the way ten minutes with a controller can.

The demo also lowers the barrier for the Nintendo audience that never played the game on PlayStation 5 or PC. Stellar Blade built its reputation through word of mouth and its spectacular boss fights, and a free opening chapter is the fastest way to turn curious Switch 2 owners into believers.

Why Stellar Blade on Switch 2 Is a Big Deal

SHIFT UP, founded in 2013 and based in Seoul, South Korea, is the studio behind GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE and Stellar Blade, and this launch is a milestone for the company. Bringing its flagship action game to a Nintendo console opens the game up to an entirely new audience, and doing it with the Complete Edition, crossovers included, is the strongest possible first impression.

It also continues a run of strong Switch 2 support from third-party publishers. Nintendo’s new hardware has been collecting major ports and upgrades at a rapid pace, and Stellar Blade is one of the biggest names to join that list so far. If you want to see how well Switch 2 is doing at attracting the games that used to skip Nintendo systems entirely, our Demon Slayer Just Got a FREE Switch 2 Upgrade — 60FPS, Cross-Gen Fights, and 6 Million Copies Sold is another great example, while Cities: Skylines Just Got a Massive Switch 2 Upgrade — Expanded Edition Is OUT TODAY shows how the platform is becoming a home for big city-building games too.

For now, the message is simple: Stellar Blade is out on Nintendo Switch 2 today, the Complete Edition includes everything, and there is a free demo waiting on the eShop. If you have been holding out for the right version to jump in, this is it. Learn more at the official SHIFT UP website.
