He said that he is tired of hearing people say that they don’t have the proper equipment to get the figurines to look life like. Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor review

With so many games this year disappointing fans all across the board, Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor started off as a game that most people labeled as an “Assassins Creed Clone” and ignored it. But then we are introduced to the nemesis system and everyone changed their minds and started to pay attention. This made Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor one of the most anticipated games to come out, and unlike most of the games to come out this year this game is not a disappointment it may be a strong contender for game of the year. You play as Talion who is possessed by a wraith (if you don’t want spoilers on who the wraith is don’t worry I will only be referring to him as the wraith). Talion is a ranger of Gondor stationed on the Black Gate during the time of Saurons return to...

NYCC 2014 – Arrow DLC Announced at Lego Batman 3 Panel

New York Comic Con was a little shy on the video game announcements this year, but that did not stop the Lego Batman 3 panel from being riddled with some fun information. With the help of IGN’s Greg Miller moderating TT Games developers, Arthur Parsons and Stephen Sharples (Dang it Sharples!) showed off in-game footage of playable characters like the comic book icon and CCO of DC Comics, Geoff Johns. However, the popular filmmaker and star of Comic Book Men, Kevin Smith, does not get left behind. Some of the biggest NYCC-exclusive characters reveals include the popular Darkest Knight Batman which is an iteration where Bruce Wayne is chosen to become a Green Lantern, fan-requested Solar Suit Superman, the always ironic Man-Bat, the obscure inclusion from the Batman animated series Condiment King, and of course the Warner Brothers-backed Green Loontern which features the iconic Daffy Duck...

Blizzard Scraps Titan

Blizzard Entertainment, the famed creators of World of Warcraft and the Diablo series, have discarded their recent project code named “Titan”. Titan was to be a new MMO, but not many details were known about it nor was it ever officially announced. It is known that Blizzard had been working on this game for around seven years. Mike Morhaime, CEO of Blizzard, has stated when it comes to new MMO’s, “… That’s not where we want to be spending our time.” Morhaime also stated that some of the reasons that they decided to scrap the project was the fact that the team had a hard time having fun working on the project or finding the passion for it. That, among other reasons, led them to decide that this game was not the game that they wanted to be making....

Super Smash Brothers 3DS Demo

I recently got a hold of the Smash 3DS demo from my friend who has platinum membership on club Nintendo. All I have to say about it is that it feels weird with the circle pad, other than that it is a perfectly good game. The demo consists of 5 characters, 3 veterans, 2 newbies and one stage. The playable characters are Mario, Link, Pikachu, Villager and Megaman. The veterans play almost identical to their brawl counterparts except that everything is a lot smoother. The Villager is my least favorite of the bunch mainly because he has a good move set, but it is weird and will take a while to get used to. Megaman, in my opinion, is great. His move set is basically the powers you get from the old games, like the blades you get after beating Metal Man. I have played...

GamerGate: More Fuel to the Fire

On September 17th, Milo Yiannopoulos over at Breitbart gained access to e-mails from a google group called Gaming Journalism Professionals.  The “GameJournoPros” as they call themselves, are a collection of journalists from various gaming websites that speak with each other to collectively promote events, games, and various other areas of the gaming industry. To show examples of the corruption, one e-mail even speaks about removing threads about GamerGate, a problem that has plagued the movement since its conception. The following day, Milo released another article about the GameJournoPros.  This time, he gives us various quotes from the e-mails, giving names to each quote.  The quotes reveal journalists from Polygon, GameSpot, Kotaku, and Wired, just to name a few.  Several comments about the gaming culture were made, Andrew Groen, a WIRED contributor, went as far as to call our culture toxic.  William O’Neal from TechRadar made...
