Time to dust off your zookeeper hat. Planet Zoo 2 is out now on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, and Frontier Developments is calling it a generational leap for the zoo-management genre.
The headline additions are huge: for the first time, you can build fully customizable aquariums and aviaries, bringing aquatic and flying species into your parks alongside more than 130 animals. As the Fauna and Ecosystems Network’s newest Conservation Coordinator, you’ll juggle animal welfare, habitat design, and conservation projects around the globe.
Conservation goes beyond the zoo gates this time. You’ll take on projects to restore Wildlife Reserves, nurture animals, and release them into thriving ecosystems. Career, Franchise, and Sandbox modes return, joined by the new Planet Hub for managing your growing network — plus a first-person camera that lets you actually walk inside the zoo you built.
Pricing is £39.99 / $49.99 / €49.99 for the Standard Edition and £54.99 / $64.99 / €64.99 for the Deluxe Edition. If you loved the original, this looks like the sequel that finally lets you build the zoo you always imagined.
