EVE Online’s Fractured Skies Expansion Launches November 10 — and It’s Bringing the Faction Wars Back to Life

New Eden is heading to war. CCP (announced via Fenris Creations) has revealed that EVE Online: Fractured Skies, the next expansion for the legendary sci-fi MMO, launches on November 10, 2026 for PC and Mac. This is the second chapter of the three-expansion “Theatres of War” saga, which began with Cradle of War back in June 2026 — and it is built around the thing EVE has always done best: enormous, player-driven conflict.

The centerpiece of Fractured Skies is the faction war overhaul. Launching November 10 are four new Military Campaigns, one for each empire, running into January. Pilots can rally old allies and recruit new ones, earning ISK, Loyalty Points, faction equipment, achievements, and titles as they fight. The expansion also adds four Navy Attack Battlecruisers — one per empire — and nine Synchronizer Rigs sets covering the four empires and five pirate factions, plus 13 free pre-fitted AIR Academy ships to get new players into the fight faster.

Beyond the warfare, there is a pile of quality-of-life work. Onboarding gets stronger with visual updates, a cleaner overview for Level 1 security missions, and the AIR Career Program moving into Achievements. The HUD is getting its first redesign phase, available opt-in through the Feature Preview, and new achievements are coming — including some secret challenges for the completionists out there.

The roadmap beyond November is where it gets really interesting. January 2027 brings Empire Showdown, described as an epic four-way community battle. Then from February 2027, the new Conquests system ushers in a new era of seasonal Factional Warfare, with shared objectives, personal rewards, and — this is the big one — definitive winners. For a game whose wars have historically been endless, a seasonal structure with real conclusions could change the entire political landscape of New Eden.

There is also a first for the EVE universe: Fractured Skies creates the first persistent gameplay connection between EVE Online and EVE Vanguard, the studio’s upcoming FPS. EVE Vanguard’s live alpha opens for 24/7 paid alpha access through the EVE Launcher on November 10 — separate from the Omega subscription, with pricing still to be announced — and jobs completed by Vanguard players will create more combat, mining, and exploration sites in EVE Online. The two games are finally, genuinely linked.

EVE Online remains free to play on PC and Mac via eveonline.com, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. Twenty-plus years in, CCP is still finding ways to make New Eden feel like it matters — and a faction war with actual winners might be the boldest move yet.
