Pack a bag for South America, farmers. GIANTS Software has launched Beans & Alpacas, the newest expansion for Farming Simulator 25, and it’s available right now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Mac for $29.99 — and it’s also included in the Year 2 Season Pass, so pass holders can jump in without paying extra.
The headline addition is Catuaí, a brand-new South America-inspired map built around coffee country: red soil, lush green hills, terraced plantations, and a proper town to explore. This is a working holiday, though — the region is designed around growing coffee beans, with bananas in the mix too, and the local wildlife includes parrots and caimans wandering the edges of your fields. There’s even a museum in town and a research station hidden out in the rainforest if you go looking.

On the animal side, alpacas are the stars of the show. You can raise and shear them, lead them around your farm, and yes, they are every bit as fluffy as the name promises. Brahman cattle join the roster as well, giving livestock players a new breed to build a ranch around alongside the series’ returning animals.
It wouldn’t be Farming Simulator without new iron, and Beans & Alpacas delivers more than 25 new machines and implements. The expansion also brings a new brand to the series, Colombo Industries, plus enhanced physics, improved machine animations, and reworked sugarcane visuals for anyone running the base game’s crops.

Construction and customization get a serious boost too. Six new farmhouses arrive with the expansion, each with a unique interior you can actually walk into to change clothes or save your game — and the exteriors visibly age over time unless you give them a fresh coat of paint. On top of that, more than 80 new placeable objects — sheds, fences, decorations, and more — let you build out a farm that actually looks lived in.
New production chains round out the package, so your coffee harvest has somewhere profitable to go once it’s off the plant. If you don’t own the base game yet, GIANTS is also selling a Beans & Alpacas Edition that bundles Farming Simulator 25 and the expansion together.
Simulation fans have had a good month on console — BeamNG.drive just crashed onto PS5 in Early Access, and Catuaí is a very different, much more relaxing kind of sim sandbox. And if you’re planning your gaming budget around the big releases, Golden Joystick Ultimate Game of the Year voting is live until Friday.
