This Barbie Is a POWERWASHER — PowerWash Simulator 2’s Barbie Pack Brings the DreamHouse to Malibu on December 3

PowerWash Simulator 2 Barbie Pack key art — PowerWasher Barbie cleans a pink DreamHouse playset

Barbie has had hundreds of careers. Doctor, astronaut, president — and now, finally, the one nobody saw coming: professional powerwasher. FuturLab and Mattel announced today that the Barbie Pack for PowerWash Simulator 2 launches on December 3 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC, priced at $7.99 / £6.50 / €7.99. It is available to wishlist on Steam now.

The pack sends players to Malibu for five brand-new jobs inspired by Barbie playsets, running from the Dream Camper all the way up to the Barbie DreamHouse itself. This is not a lazy reskin: FuturLab says the levels are built around bright colours, embossed plastic, smooth surfaces and playful toy-like details, so spraying away the muck reveals sparkling, pristine plastic underneath — a material that might honestly be more satisfying to clean than half the mud and moss in the base game. Players can even ride the DreamHouse elevator and settle in by the fire at the Dream Camper once the work is done.

Naturally, Barbie does not show up in standard-issue overalls. The pack includes a custom Barbie power washer and a playable Barbie character, complete with a pink suit and themed equipment designed to look like it came straight out of the box, down to the stickers and mould lines. For the jobs that hide their dirt up high, there is also an abseiling kit and a scissor lift to play with — because the DreamHouse is three storeys of grime and somebody has to reach the roof.

Like the rest of PowerWash Simulator 2, the Barbie Pack is built for company as much as for solo zen. You can clean alone, pair up in split-screen co-op, or bring up to four players together in Free Play. The base game — out now on the same platforms — already packs 38 jobs, new tools, a customisable home base and a pile of quality-of-life upgrades over the original, and licensed packs have become its signature move; Proven Gamer most recently covered the game’s Fortnite SPLASHOUT crossover (PowerWash Simulator Just Invaded Fortnite — SPLASHOUT Turns Cleaning Into an 8-Player Dirt War).

When the pack was first announced in September, FuturLab CEO Kirsty Rigden said Barbie means something different to almost everyone — childhood memories for some, an appreciation for the colour, creativity and imagination of the brand for others — and that the team had a huge amount of fun putting its own powerwashing spin on that world. Today’s news simply locks in the date and the price, and December 3 is a smart slot: the same day as another big launch elsewhere in this run’s coverage, and right at the start of the holiday season, when a $7.99 stocking-stuffer DLC for one of gaming’s most relaxing games is an easy sell.

So: mark December 3, wishlist the pack, and remember the house rule of Malibu — the only pressure here is in the water.
