The Oddbat Steam demo is live right now, and it comes with a brand-new home for the little vampire bat. Publisher No More Robots has teamed up with Spanish studio Summerhouse Games to publish Oddbat, a precision platformer built around momentum, exploration and a serious thirst for blood.
Oddbat puts you in the wings of a tiny bat chasing immortality. The world is wide open from the start, so you can explore the map and tackle its obstacles in any order you choose instead of following one fixed route.
Every screen is a momentum-based puzzle that is easy to pick up and difficult to master. Dash and dodge through more than 1,000 screens, including hundreds of hidden and secret areas tucked away off the main path.
Oddbat Steam Demo: 600 Victims, 150 Pets and 8 Dungeons
Drinking is the point. There are 600 victims to find and feed on — peasants, kings and beloved fairytale characters are all fair game — and the more you drink, the more secret challenges you unlock to prove yourself.
Not everything is on the menu. Oddbat also hides 150 pets across the map for you to rescue and bring home, because an afterlife is better with friends.
Eight sprawling, themed dungeons anchor the adventure, each with its own mechanics to learn and overcome. If you like trying PC demos before launch, the Soulframe open alpha is also opening its doors this week:
The Oddbat Steam demo is free to download on Steam today, and the full game is listed as coming soon to Steam. It was announced as part of No More Robots’ second Publisher Showcase, which aired November 3 alongside the publisher’s Steam sale.
