Trophy Whores 265 – Figments of Donny’s Imagination

It’s the middle of the summer, and the news has dried up like a salted slug in the Sahara.  When the Trophy Whores are low on news, they turn Donny loose like a Rikki-Tikki-Tavi in a cobra hole.  Somewhere, Tricky hopes that the figments of Donny’s imagination don’t run wild.

While Donny has been busy with Double Fine’s Psychonauts, the fine folks at Hello Games have been readying No Man’s Sky, which has garnered immense hype and excitement. No Man’s Sky has gone gold, which means that we’re one step closer to playing it.  If you were a little sour about the latest delay, pushing No Man’s Sky to October, then you can finally turn that frown upside down.

Join the Trophy Whores as they discuss, among other things, Ratchet & Clank, No Man’s Sky, The Warriors, and Shadow of the Colossus.  Resident Darrell, of Remember the Loot fame, has been playing Shadow of the Colossus, which, if you ask Alex, is one of the best video games ever made.  The feeling of taking down each Colossus is equal parts triumphant and heartbreaking, as somber tunes accompany every behemoth to its final resting place.  While its age shows, the story and concept of Shadow of the Colossus still inspire awe and adoration among its fans.
