In a post to Twitter, Rockstar Games has informed the world that new information from the Red Dead Redemption series is coming next week.
The tweet is simply text, reading “Thursday, September 28 11 AM ET” on the classic red background. However, coming from Rockstar, that is enough to set the world on fire. The tweet doesn’t give any more information about what is coming, but luckily we won’t have to wait long.

Marvel Vs. Capcom Infinite has seen its share of leaks and rumors since its announcement at the PlayStation Experience in December. The biggest leak was a nearly complete roster that leaked earlier this year. Now, new footage of the game appears to have been shown off earlier today at San-Diego Comi-Con that continues to confirm characters off of that leaked list. Gameplay footage of Spider-Man, Frank West, Haggar, and Nemesis. A new stage with a giant Modok in the background was also revealed.
At this time, Capcom has not released an official trailer with these characters or stage. Marvel Vs. Capcom Infinite will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on September 19.
The official Marvel Vs. Capcom Infinite Twitter account has confirmed that these characters, along with Gamora will be playable in the game. The official trailer will release Friday, July 21. Check out the tweet below:

According to a Facebook post on the Ataribox page, the Ataribox is actually a thing and we may want to start paying attention. The box looks to come in two varieties – a wood grain version and a black and red version. Either way, this “rumor” no longer seems like a rumor. Atari, which struggled with bankruptcy just a few years ago may find it challenging to enter into a crowded console market. However, perhaps with the rich history that the company has, they may have a leg up.
See the post and photos below:
First look at the Ataribox design!!!
“Our objective is to create a new product that stays true to our heritage while appealing to both old and new fans of Atari.
Inspired by classic Atari design elements (such as the iconic use of wood, ribbed lines, and raised back); we are creating a smooth design, with ribs that flow seamlessly all around the body of the product, a front panel that can be either wood or glass, a front facing logo, indicator lights that glow through the material, and an array of new ports (HDMI, 4xUSB, SD). We intend to release two editions: a wood edition, and a black/red edition.
As you can guess, those ports suggest modern internal specs. It also means that while we will be delivering classic gaming content, we will also be delivering current gaming content.”
We know you are hungry for more details; on specs, games, features, pricing, timing etc. We’re not teasing you intentionally; we want to get this right, so we’ve opted to share things step by step as we bring Ataribox to life, and to listen closely to Atari community feedback as we do so. There are a lot of milestones, challenges and decision points in front of us in the months ahead. We’ll be giving you lots more information and status updates as we progress, and we are thrilled to have you along for the ride!”
Could this mean that the console market is getting more competition? Only time will tell. You can bet that this gamer is looking forward to seeing what this product can do. You can visit the official website for this project here.
As always. keep it tuned here to Proven Gamer for more Ataribox coverage.
Just hours ahead of the Microsoft press conference this afternoon, The Game Awards creator Geoff Keighley has tweeted that the price of Project Scorpio will be $499.
I can now say with confidence Project Scorpio is $499. Unless something changes today, that is what will be announced.

Microsoft’s showcase will start at 2 p.m. P.T. where the price and launch date of the new console are expected to be revealed.
Ubisoft always has fun with their E3 showcase. Today, they continued this trend by releasing a teaser video for their upcoming press conference. The video shows off footage of South Park: The Fractured But Whole as well as Far Cry 5. Along with these two games, Ubisoft has confirmed that there will be new information on the next installments for Just Dance, Assasin’s Creed, and The Crew. However, it takes a comedic by showing redacted footage of new games that haven’t been announced yet.
Check out the full teaser trailer for the presentation below:
In a pair of posts on the Ubisoft forums, Far Cry 5 and The Crew 2 have been announced. According to industry analyst Daniel Ahmad, both of these games are expected to be released during this fiscal year, which will end next March.
Keep it tuned to Proven Gamer as more information on both of these games is announced.
For some time now, the rumors have been swirling that the next Assassin’s Creed game would take players Egypt. A screenshot that was posted to Reddit and confirmed by Eurogamer seems to confirm these suspicions.
In the upper left corner of the screenshot, the mission description says “Follow Shadya to Khenut’s villa”. Khenut was a queen in Egypt from 2375-2345 BC. The image also shows the return of boats, which became a major gameplay component of Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag.
Most believe that Ubisoft will reveal the latest game in the Assassin’s Creed franchise at E3 next month.
Almost two years after Telltale Games announced a Marvel game was in the making, it looks like the cat, or should should we say raccoon has gotten out of the bag. An image of a list of games still in development after the voice actor strike has made its way online. About halfway down the list, the title “Guardians Of The Galaxy a/k/a Blue Harvest”. Although the game is being credited to “O’Farrell Enterprises, LLC”, the same company is listed with the third season of “The Walking Dead”, one of the most popular of the Telltale Franchises.
When a Marvel game was announced to be in development, the game was set for a 2017 release date. With this year wrapping up quickly, expect more news on the upcoming title sooner rather than later.
Sony has released its projections of console sales through March 31st of 2017 to be 60 million units sold. It is believed that the Playstation 4 has already sold 40 million units worldwide with Sony selling 15 to 17 million each year. In order for Sony to achieve this goal they would have to sell around 20 million units from physical year 2016 to 2017. As for a comparison, the PS3 sold 80 million units being on the market for seven years where as the PS4 has only been available for three years. Analysts believe that the PS4 will go on to sell over 100 million units ranking amongst the best selling consoles of all time.
According to sources associated with Kotaku the newest Destiney expansion has not only been leaked but confirmed. The newest expansion is titled “Rise of Iron” and is said to be a larger expansion than “House of Wolves” and “The Dark Below.” Rise of Iron is expected to release this September with more information coming at E3. There is still no word on whether or not a proper Destiny 2 will be coming soon, but there are rumors suggesting that Destiny 2 has recently been “rebooted” with Taken King director, Luke Smith.

In a recent stream of tweets by a Japanese annalist, it appears that Resident Evil 7 is real and will in fact be at E3. It has been said that Resident Evil 7 will return to the roots of the franchise focusing on the horror and not as much on action and will be a “clean slate” for the series. Dr. Serkan Toto, CEO of Tokyo-based gaming consultancy Kantan Games also said that Jordan Amaro who previously worked on MGS V and PT has joined the RE 7 team. This news lines up with the “full scale offensive” for Resident Evil promised by Capcom at their last investor’s meeting.

Hideo Kojima has released some tidbits of information on what his new game in development since leaving Konami will be like. In a recent interview with Famitsu, Kojima says “I won’t say that it’s an open-world title, but those that enjoy playing today’s AAA titles such as The Division and Uncharted will be able to play it smoothly. When it gets announced, some may think that it’s not as way-out as they had expected, but I’m sure they’ll understand once they play it. The genre is action.”
When questioned about the logo for his new studio Kojima Productions, he acted in typical Kojima fashion by responding “I can’t say yet, but the secret is in the logo”. Perhaps it also has something to do with the new title he is developing, much like the Fox logo in previous Metal Gear Solid titles? Kojima had also mentioned at DICE 2016 that he hopes to keep this studio more small and personal so his team can feel more comfortable and have room to grow and develop their talent.
The topic of VR was also brought up, and Kojima had expressed interest in it saying he’d “like to make something for it, but we don’t have anyone. I believe VR holds a key to game development.”

Rumors are running rampant on the internet this week and rightfully so. With it being the 20th anniversary of Resident Evil fans have to wonder, what all does Capcom have up it’s sleeve? Already this year we have seen the release of the Resident Evil Origins collection including the re-master of Resident Evil remake and the re-master of Resident Evil Zero. Most recently Capcom has released the Resident Evil 6 re-master and has promised Resident Evil 4 and 5 for current gen consoles. Still to come in 2016 we have the fast paced third person shooter Umbrella Corps. There is also the Resident Evil 2 re-make in development. So what else could Capcom have planned for their loyal resident Evil fans? In a recent financial report Capcom said they plan on launching a “full scale offensive” in the second half of the year after the release of Umbrella Corps. They also mention releasing a title that will sell around 4 million units which would indicate a new numbered title in the core series. E3 is just around the corner so expect to see some big news on one of the mains stages being either Sony or Microsoft.

Resident Evil 2 re-make announcement trailer:
A report from Engadget states that there is a new collection coming to the Xbox One system. This collection is called Halo: The Master Chief Collection and will include Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo 4. This is supposedly due out sometime this year and no price tag has been set.
If its true this is a great collection to refresh anyone on Master Chief’s story before Halo 5: Guardians comes out. Halo 3: ODST and Halo: Reach will not be included, and rightly so as they are not a main part of Master Chief himself.
Microsoft has yet to confirm any of this nor do we know who is actually in development of this collection. We are also not sure if this is going to be just a simple port or an actual remake of the series. I would put my money on just a port. Stay tuned to Provengamer.com for more details on the Halo: Master Chief Collection.
