Hamburg-based indie studio ROCKFISH Games announces that its debut title EVERSPACE will launch through Game Preview on Xbox One for $29.99, today. It will also launch through Game Preview on Windows 10 later this month and be the very first ID@Xbox title supporting Play Anywhere featuring cross-saves and buy once, play anywhere. (Those who buy the game on Xbox One prior to the Windows 10 release will receive the Windows 10 version when it launches.)
The fast-paced roguelike space shooter launched on Steam last week and a month earlier than initially estimated during its wildly successful Kickstarter. It made it to the top sellers in no time fueled by above 90% positive reviews. In spite of its unfinished state of development, EVERSPACE received high praise for its stunning visuals, engaging gameplay, intuitive controls and overall polish from gamers, influencers and the gaming press alike.
“When demoing EVERSPACE at the Xbox booth at E3, Gamescom, NerdHQ, Insomnia and the Microsoft Pre-Pax event, it got great feedback from anyone and it clearly didn’t disappoint at its release on PC last week,” said Chris Charla, Director ID@Xbox at Microsoft. “We are super excited to bring it to Xbox One and Windows 10 through Game Preview, even more being the first ID@Xbox title to support Play Anywhere.”
For the launch, an all-new boss fight, some voice-acted dialogs, a new planet type, additional Outlaw stations as well as many interface and gameplay tweaks have been added. At the Tokyo Game Show 2016, Konami revealed an extensive 15 minute gameplay demo of their upcoming title Metal Gear Survive, a cooperative Metal Gear title that pits players against….. zombies? The game has received quite the backlash since it’s announcement in mid August, but despite recent events with Hideo Kojima’s departure, it appears Konami seeks to prove that this new installment in the Metal Gear series is much more than a “cash grab”.
The demo, all being powered by the Fox Engine found in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, features a cooperative mission where four Motherbase soldiers must tread through a zombie infested map completing objectives in hopes to return home after being transported to an alternate world. In typical zombie game fashion, players are tasked with collecting materials to build tools and weapons to aid them in their survival. Like previous titles, you can choose to use items to help you sneak around the enemy, such as lures, or opt to take out the enemies one by one using stealth or the variety of melee and ranged weapons at your disposal.

Perfectly ParaNormal’s darkly comic adventure Manual Samuel will hit PlayStation 4 on October 11th and PC and Xbox One on the 14th of October, publisher Curve Digital has revealed today.
The game challenges players to guide the titular hero through the worst 24 hours of his life, doing everything – everything – manually.
This extraordinary day begins with Samuel being knocked over and killed, and all being well ends with him living happily ever after, in a genuinely laugh-out-loud tale of love, redemption and feces.
Billed as a ‘dexterity adventure’, Manual Samuel makes everyday situations increasingly slapstick as simple tasks such as getting dressed become hilarious set pieces where forgetting to breathe can mean the difference between successfully getting your pants on. As the day progresses, Sam must keep his girlfriend and his boss happy – all whilst keeping Death happy.
Players control every aspect of Samuel. Right and left stick to walk, sure, but don’t forget to press to breathe in, press to breath out, press to blink, hit the triggers to walk – left foot, right foot, left foot, breathe in, right foot, blink, breath out, right foot fall over. Get up.
Samuel’s manual affliction paves the way for some truly hysterical moments. From taking a leak to driving a car, the game makes a marvel of the mundane. And as the game progresses, Samuel’s adventures become even more surreal, making this one of the most spectacularly silly games in a long, long time.

Square Enix has formed a small development team of 10 dedicated and 20 freelance staff called Tokyo RPG Factory, to bring us I Am Setsuna, the spiritual successor to Square’s 1995 epic classic Chrono Trigger, and it is releasing in the West on Tuesday, July 19th for the Playstation 4, The Playstation Vita, and PC.
Per a Blog post on Playstation.com:
“I Am Setsuna’s gameplay is reminiscent of an old school JRPG. The subtle way the characters move, the music, and the battles evoke the games some of us grew up playing, but with a splash of novelty once you pick up the controller. I am Setsuna tells the tale of a land that has maintained peace with a fiend – once every decade, a sacrifice is offered to a fiend on the island. However, one year, the fiend grows violent before the next sacrifice is due. Those living on the island are afraid and try to calm the fiend by offering a sacrifice — Setsuna — chosen because of her powers of enchantment. Setsuna must leave with her safeguards for the farthest land, where the ceremony of sacrifice will be held.”
(The entire post “15 things to know about I Am Setsuna” can be found here: http://blog.us.playstation.com/2016/06/03/15-things-to-know-about-i-am-setsuna-out-july-19-on-ps4/ )
Everything shown for this game gives off a strong Chrono Trigger vibe, from scenes favoring the infamous Mountain of Woe, to dual attacks similar to Crono and Frog’s iconic X Slash, and even soaring over mountaintops in an air ship, very reminiscent of the Epoch; The ship which was flown in Chrono Trigger. Upon hiring the team for Tokyo RPG Factory, applicants were not told the studio would be part of Squre Enix. Yosuke Matsuda (CEO of Square Enix) wanted to hire people who were passionate about RPGs, rather than people who wanted to work for Square Enix.
We will have to wait and see if that passion for RPG’s is displayed when the game releases next week.
Be sure to view the E3 2016 trailer below, and for more on I Am Setsuna, keep it locked right here at ProvenGamer.com!
